Win in France and taking overall title 4X Pro Tour champion
Tomas Slavik was able to take a massive win at final round of 4X Pro Tour World Series in France on new venue in Azur bike park. Slavik took a win in qualifacation nearly by 2 seconds and he did the same in all his race heats and took well deserved win. Slavik had really strong season and has won all 4X Pro Tour races in 2016 and became overall 4X Pro Tour champion.
“New location really surprised me, it was exactly that style of a track I love - big jumps, steep, fast, loose and technical. In many ways it was similar to my home track at JBC bike park so me and my bike GHOST RIOT LT we both felt almost like home on this kind of venue. Qualification already showed up that Im really strong on this track and took a win in quail nearly by 2 seconds. In the race I really enjoyed every single meter on this track and had so much fun racing on it. There was already quite big crowd and atmosphere at the bottom of the track was really nice. It was good to see new french riders attending the 4X Pro Tour, going wild and mixing the results. Crowd was loving it and we all had a great time. At the end I won all my heats and won the final round of 4X Pro Tour in France. It was great ending of my fourcross season and Im really looking forward to next races on this track. After 4 consecutive wins in Germany, Scotland, Czech Republic and France Im taking also the overall title of 4X Pro Tour champion. I would love to thank to all my sponsors, girlfriend, family and all people standing behind me and behind my results. I would love to also give a big congratulations to AZUR bike park for their hard work and making this amazing event. There is always so much work behind events like this, not many can appreciate it, see how hard it is and it really reminded me our first year of JBC 4X Revelations 4 years ago. Really appreciate your work, keep going and thank you!! We really had blast!! “
