Short, intense and crazy track in Bratislava always promises exciting and tight racing, but this year it was another level! Tomas Slavik took at the end 2nd spot City Downhill World Tour in Bratislava with only 0,19 seconds behind the winner! 

 

“I was coming to Bratislava with mixed feelings. I have never done any really good result and last year I crashed on the longest jump of the track and smashed my ankle. Track was really similar to last year with few small changes, but really enjoyed it. I was racing for the first time on GHOST FR AMR 180/160mm which showed up like an ideal bike for urban dh races. Bike was working great, I was feeling good, sun was shining, lot of spectator and everything was promising good day at Bratislava. In qualification I did a save run and in the finals I pushed it and made my time 2 seconds quicker. I was sitting at hot seat and was just watching other guys coming down the track. At the end I finished on 2nd place just 0,19 s behind winner. Well, it was super tight but Im still pretty stoked to take 2nd place here after last year. Now Im having 3 weeks time for trainings and get things ready for JBC 4X Revelations 2016 which is taking place in Jablonec nad Nisou on 16.7. Its always a highlight of fourcross season with over 10 000 spectators and Im really looking forward to that one! Thank you guys and see you at JBC! “
