Tomas Slavik smashing it at Fort William
After 2 years Tomas Slavik was able to come back to Fort William for next round of 4X Pro Tour world series where he took a massive win and gained his point lead in overall world series ranking. For the first time racing on his new fully GHOST RIOT LT 130/130 and showed to the 4X world huge potential of this bike at rough courses!
“Last year I wasn’t able to race in Fort William after 8 years due to my health problems. Fort William was always “must go” location in many ways. The course is amazing, there is always huge crowd and the organization level is the best. This year also the weather was playing its part and I have never seen such a nice weather in Scotland! Also the crowd was huge and you could really feel at the race with thousands and thousands of spectators cheering around the track. The track in Fort William is very unique because its almost disadvantage to go on first spot, because there is no ideal line and you are becoming basically a target for everyone so its also very strong game of tactics in this race what I honestly like the most. I was also racing for first time in 4X Pro Tour on my new GHOST RIOT LT 130/130 which was working great in this dusty and rough conditions. Took a win at quali by more then 1 second what was great start to the race. In the final I was having really fast start and was going down the track as fast as possible, protecting the lines and at the last straight I looked over my shoulder and I saw there is 50m gap behind me so I was really excited and stoked about my performance! I really feel now that Im getting back to my “good old” shape. Really happy to be back at Fort William and taking the first spot. Thanks to all czech fans who came to Fort William to cheer for us and make us feel like home! You are great! THANKS! “
