„I almost forgot after those years how does it feel to be a world champion. I was having a bad luck last 3 seasons in a row, it was kind of frustrating because I knew that I can win it. Worlds in fourcross is really unique race. It one race, not a series. Everybody wants the title and its everybodys goal for a season. Riders are putting a lot of effort into racing and especially they are racing absolutely unpredictable. Nobody cares about the overall points... Its just all or nothing race. In Leogang the most important thing is to have a good quali, I took a win there and it was first step in a right direction for getting the title. Track is physically very difficult and If you want to be strong in a final you have to save as much energy as possible. In semi guys behind me crashed and I let swiss rider Waldburger go in front of me and just cruised the track down. Some of the people were staring at me like Im crazy, but it was tactics and it save me a lot of energy for the finals. In the final I just did a holeshot and was going as fast as possible down the hill. After crossing the finish line it just reminded me Mont St. Anne where I got my first world champion title. Amazing feeling, hard to describe! It was really emotional to me and at the same time such a relief after 3 years of trying to get it done! I would love to thank to all the people who supported me on my road to World Champs! It was hell of a ride and I wouldn't be able to get there without you! Thanks a lot!“
