Tomas Slavik was on the hunt for the King Of Crankworx title from the beginning of the season and he really made it! We would call it almost like an olympic games for mtb gravity/freestyle riders and its a real success and honor for Tomas Slavik, Czech Republic and his sponsors to take this prestigious title. What was the story behind for crowned King Of Crankworx Tomas Slavik at last round in Whistler? Check this out:

"It’s been a long season. In the beginning, we just created an idea that we might try to get the King of Crankworx title. Then we were checking out the events, and we found out that it’s really doable — that the events are quite suiting me. In New Zealand I already took a win in Speed and Style, which was super cool winning it “just" with the speed - I’m a racer and that’s what I do. In Les Gets I was just holding second spot behind Adrien Loron. And here in Whistler, it was just like….all in, you know! I had to win as many events as possible and after Air DH I though the fight is almost over for me, but I knew that Pumptrack and Dual Slalom is still to come, what are my favorite events. I was on a mission. I just knew that if I don’t want it, if I didn’t win it [Dual Slalom] then I have no chance for taking the overall title. I was really pushing the Dual Slalom. It was crazy — already from the first round it was over the limit. But everyone was. Everyone was flying. Everyone was all over the pace, because we were just really going over the limits of tires — and our own limits – It was good racing anyway, I loved that. I won it. I was super stoked. But then the hardest part came…. The last 30 minutes of waiting for Sam Blenkinsop to come down — because he was the only one who was able to beat me — was unreal. I was so stressing, but at the end worked out for me well and I was so happy and stoked! It was such a relief and satisfying feeling after such a hard work - yeah, the feeling is hard to describe and really worth it! This mission is complete for me and I would love to thank to my girlfriend, family, fans and friends from all over the world and especially to my sponsors for helping me on my way to chase my dreams and making it happen. Thank you guys from Crankworx for doing such a good job with your events! THANK YOU!!! “
